Focus Forward - Circular Economy II at Schönmackers: What we saw and what our customers rated

Our second Focus Forward - Circular Economy took customers and the Prologa team to Schönmackers in Goch. This is what we saw on site, and which reports our customers rated for our standard.

A loop for organic waste
Schönmackers opened with a presentation of the company and its loop for organic waste. Organic waste is treated biologically and becomes organic fertilizer, which goes back into the soil, where the next plants grow. Our roadmap update followed.
Through the halls
After that, everyone put on hi-vis vests for a tour of the working operation. We walked through the halls and along a conveyor, and many of the processes we usually discuss in workshops were right in front of us.
For our team, this ist he part of the programme that no requirements document replaces. Every figure in a waste report starts at a point like this, so it matters how it is captured.

The reporting workshop
In the reporting workshop, our customers worked with cards that each describe one report, and they rated every one. The cards came in three groups:
- Regulatory: authority reports, quantities by waste type and treatment method, records for customers
- Waste balances: volume development over the years, top customers and suppliers
- Customer reports: CO₂ reports, containers and waste per customer
One card stayed blank for ideas of their own. The ratings help decide which of these reports go into our standard.

The programme included AI as well: A short talk on "The Augmented ERP" and a hands-on workshop. Demo booths in the breaks gave room for questions on specific processes, and dinner together closed the programme.
Thank you
Our thanks go to the Schönmackers team, who opened their site to us and our customers, and to everyone who travelled to Goch. It was good to spend that time with you.

Which report would you have written on the blank card? Tell us, or get in touch with your Prologa contact.
There is no reason to waste it.
If you want to discuss what this means for your setup, reach out. We will start with your process reality and define a concrete next step.
